Half-Steam

Do we have a specific quota of words?

Is there a finite number of times we can use particular phrases and talk about certain things?

If you write for a living, it can sometimes feel like you're running out of things to say. There are days when it's impossible to string sentences together, when the mere act of verbalizing simple thoughts like that movie lacked emotional depth, this bruschetta needs more basil, dude, where's my car? takes too much out of you.

Where did my brain go, you wail, did I put it in the washing machine? What will happen to it? Won't fabric softener weaken my grey matter?

Today, obviously, is one of those days.
