Oui
He is there again.
He is not what she'd expected. After all that Taekwondo and weight lifting (later on she will know that he likes punching the walls of his apartment), he is still lean, his muscles barely making themselves known under his purple polo shirt. But she doesn't notice this, at least, not right away - it's his voice that mesmerizes her. Sometimes, it resonates through her even when he is standing three feet away. Is it like a rumbling mountain, the magma of a thousand centuries stirring within him, ready to explode? Is it like chocolate melting under a slow fire? Or is it more like a warm, steady hand, holding her cheek, moving further down?
She will learn, soon, what it means to surrender without giving up that which is most important to her. She will become astonished at having experienced so much happiness. "He cannot put me together," she'll think, "but he will teach me to make better bricks."
