Ms. Discontent

WANTED: A NON-MIND-NUMBING JOB THAT PAYS REAL MONEY

25-year-old Professional Writer and Editor (and Sometime Plus-Size Model) seeks to break free from the shackles that tie her to a desk 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, editing supremely boring sociological treatises on factory workers and rich society people (with only the occassional poetry and short story collection to break the monotony). This job pays shit money, ladies and gentlemen, and though she's grown fond of the people she's been working with there for the past six months, she does not think she will be able to live on only 9,500 a month for very long.

She, however, does not want to freelance full-time again, because that would be the equivalent of scraping the bottom of the financial barrel. That was an interesting time in her life (she was able to meet many celebs and convicts then), but dear God, please don't let her go through that again. This time around, she would like to have a permanent full-time writing and editing job (preferably with either a newspaper or a magazine of prestige) that would entail her to go out into the world and talk to people, to dabble in the lovely world of fashion, film and technology, to do things she actually likes (going to events, covering concerts, etc.). She is young and talented. She only seeks a real venue in which to prove herself, to be adequately compensated for her work. She is praying very, very hard that she will not be unemployed in the interim, that her ship will come soon. She will be eternally grateful to those who will be able to help her in this matter.

For now, she is off to her desk again. Already, she feels her brain beginning to leak out of her ears.

Update, 1:33 PM: It's done. I have officially resigned. I've two more weeks left here, and I'm free.
