On the days when there are no formal events, I'll be running around tending to matters at the office, to the Custodio book, and to other Big Dipper Media Projects. For now, here's the schedule:

Russell Molina, author of Sandosenang Kuya, will conduct a four-hour talk for the Daanghari Elementary School students on art, books and his love of reading on Tuesday, December 6, 2005, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.. This is part of the Buklat-Aklat Mobile Library's schedule of activities.

The National Commission for Culture and the Arts and the National Committee on Literary Arts cordially invites you to the launching of UBOD: New Authors Series on December 6, 2005, from 6:00 p.m. onwards at the CCP Main Lobby, Cultural Center of the Philippines, Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City. After two long years, this is finally happening!
My best friend Projects Coordinator Glenn Maboloc is in charge of the event, while other friends' (Gabriela Lee and Ian Casocot) books will be among those that will be launched.

Dianne Ong, professional story-teller from ALITAPTAP, will hold story-telling sessions for the Daanghari Elementary School students on December 7, 2005, from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.. This is part of the Buklat-Aklat Mobile Library's schedule of activities.

The legendary Araceli Dans (Gabby's lola) will launch her new coffee table book of drawings and painting on December 7, 2005, 6 p.m. at the the Art Center of SM Megamall.
Accompanying the book launch is a retrospective exhibit of Dans' drawings and paintings. Proceeds from the sale of the art book on Dans' oeuvre will establish a trust fund for the Faculty Development and Research programs of the UP College of Fine Arts and other schools involved in the arts.

All writers, artistes, drunkards and bohemians will converge at the Hardin ng Diwata, Faculty Center on December 7, 2005 from 5 P.M. onwards for the annual U.P. Writers' Night. Expect food, booze, bands, fortune-telling, a book sale, and Krip Yuson and Jimmy Abad regaling younger writers with smoke and stories. This is also the chance for the Purple Patchers in Manila to finally have our grand reunion!

Jason "Wako" David, professional story-teller from ALITAPTAP, will hold story-telling sessions for the Daanghari Elementary School kids from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.. As our culminating activity, we will have on-the-spot essay writing contests and book-cover illustration contests for the students. This is also marks the end of the two-week run of the Buklat-Aklat Mobile Library tour in Navotas.

RockEd Philippines holds Rock The Riles 2005 to celebrate Human Rights Day. From the North Edsa MRT station to the Taft Avenue MRT station, Manila will be rocking in celebration of HUMAN RIGHTS DAY and the 3rd International White Band Day. Then at 8 P.M., the RockEd Concert Party starts at the Podium, with bands Radioactive Sago Project, The Dawn, Juan Pablo Dream, etc. performing.

There's the Sense of Wonder Book Launch, featuring three amazing books (Phil. Spec Fiction Vol. 1, Siglo: Passion and Project: Hero) on December 10, 2005, 6 p.m. at Fully Booked, Greenhills!

Experimental photographer Brendan Goco will shoot photos for my portfolio at Bong Salaveria's Vintage Pop, in Marikina Shoe Expo, Cubao. Best prend Glenn Maboloc, superstah stylist and diva (in his mind), will also be on hand to do my make-up and wardrobe. Dinner at Bellini's to follow.
